Dr. Anthony Njengah
DNP, PMHNP-BC, APRN
I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC, DNP, ARNP) providing comprehensive outpatient mental health care for adults. With extensive experience in mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and serious mental illness, I specialize in psychiatric assessment, medication management, and evidence-based psychotherapies.
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and PMHNP training at the University of South Alabama, building on a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Washington and more than twenty years as a Registered Nurse in inpatient psychiatry, community mental health, and acute care settings.
My patient-centered, trauma-informed approach emphasizes cultural humility, shared decision-making, and holistic care that integrates physical and mental health. I am committed to a nonjudgmental, stigma-free environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered in their care.
Areas of professional interest include integrated behavioral health, health equity, and the interface between chronic medical conditions and mental health. I pursue lifelong learning to stay current with advances in psychiatric care. Outside of work, I enjoy competitive racquetball and time with family.
With 20+ years as a registered nurse across inpatient psychiatry, community mental health, and acute care, I combine thorough psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy in a holistic, trauma‑informed, and culturally humble approach; I offer medication management and therapy (including telehealth) to support accessibility and convenience, and I’m committed to safety, collaboration, and shared decision‑making so you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your treatment plan.
